We do not currently offer a B.S. or advanced degrees in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science online; however, we do offer an online undergraduate certificate program in weather forecasting as well as some other individual courses. Some of the courses outlined below may count as course credit toward a B.S. degree, but you must be in-residence at University Park to finish your B.S. degree.

Meteorology 3: Introductory Meteorology
METEO 3 is a General Education course offered by the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science. The course is designed specifically for distance learners seeking general science credit. METEO 3 will introduce to you a wide variety of basic atmospheric concepts so that you can become a better "weather consumer" (better understand and evaluate weather information) and gain a better understanding of "how the weather works."
Meteorology 469: From Meteorology to Mitigation: Understanding Global Warming
This course provides an introduction to global warming and climate change, covering the basic science, projected impacts, and approaches to mitigation.
